Uk Disposable Cameras

UK Disposable Cameras

In a conversation with a prospective bride and groom at a recent wedding fair I was asked why I disliked UK Disposable Cameras quite so much. I had to answer that as a concept I think UK Disposable cameras and in fact any type of single use camera is a good idea.

Sure there cheap to buy averaging anywhere from £2.50 to about £5, but then you have to get the film developed, that's about another £5. When you do get them developed especially if they have been used as a wedding disposable cameras, you find you have a great deal of pictures of your mates pints, peoples feet and other things you probably would have preferred not to have paid to have developed.

But then you might say what about the photos you would want to see. This is where the real problem lies, from our personal experience, and we used 16 of them on tables at our wedding reception the quality just is not good enough.

The disposable camera by it's sheer nature is throw away, it uses cheap throw away technology. Technology based on film that hardly any serious photographers still uses.

Look around the cheapest digital cameras you can buy are about £30 - £40, yet you expect great results from something you are paying 10x less for, get real it just is not going to happen.

Don't take our word for it, have a look at just a few of the photos from our wedding last year and judge for yourself if you want to trust your treasured memories to the perils of the disposable camera.

Even if you do get any half decent prints, if you want to use them in electronic photo frames or on your blog or Facebook account you will then have to get them scanned or digitised, this is likely to cost at least another £5 per camera. So your cheap UK Disposable camera has cost you around £12.50 and all you will get are photos like the ones we have displayed that are poorly lit and very grainy.

A fabulous alternative is to get your guests to bring and use their own cameras, this way they are using high quality cameras that they are used to using.

Provide an online wedding album from us and your results will be much better quality photos, as we also provide all the table cards and guest information cards needed to make sure you guests know and understand how to use the service. Many guest have said our service was a real icebreaker when guests first sat down at the wedding reception..

If you still want to provide cameras on each of your reception tables then we offer the option to hire these from us and when they are returned to us we will load them in to your own personal online wedding album.
