Disposable Wedding Cameras
The disposable camera has been a part of many weddings and we are yet to find a bride and groom who have been delighted with the results achieved from these single use cameras.
When we got married last year we made the mistake of purchasing about 15 cheap disposable cameras for use at our wedding recption. We thought it would be a cheap but fun way to get of capturing some of the less formal moements during our wedding reception and it would also allow our guest to have a bit of fun at the same time.
It turned out not to be a cheap option or a particularly effective means of getting some informal wedding photos.
Below you can see an exmaples of two similar photographs taken at roughly the same time, one was taken with a disposable camera and one with a compact digital camera.
As you can see both photos were taken as dusk approached. The image on the left was taken with a disposable camera complete with built in flash. The disposable camera struggled to get enough light and the resulting photograph is very grainy and quite poor. In contrast the photo on the right taken with a traditional compact digital camera is well exposed and much clearer..
The contrast in quality can clearly be seen.
This kind of difference in quality is fairly typical of the difference between using a disposable camera and a compact digital camera, that is why we discourage the use of disposable cameras. Many wedding guests bring their own cameras with them to weddings. These are nearly always high quality than any cheap disposable cameras available on the market and have the added bonus that the wedding guest is normally familiar with how the camera works. If you are still concerned that some photos might be missed you can always hire compact digital cameras as part of your wedding gallery package from us. That way both yours guest who bring thier own cameras and anyone else can take photos and either upload them themselves or if they have been takenb with cmaeras hired from us we will upload them to your online wedding album for you.
Cheap Disposable Cameras are old and outdated, inferior technology and will not deliver the kind of wedding photos you deserve. They are cheap for a reason do you really wanted to trust what should be your most treasured memories to technology that you know cannot and will not deliver.
